Service at Rohr-Idreco and DE Klop doesn’t stop in the summer
“Summer or not – we never stop finding solutions.”
Even in the middle of summer, we remain ready to support our customers. Over the past few weeks, we have carried out various service jobs – always with the same goal: to get our customers back up and running as quickly as possible.
This summer has been especially busy, with projects ranging from urgent repairs to complete overhauls.
One example is a service job where a faulty oil pressure vessel on a Grafa pump threatened to cause downtime. Thanks to our stock of spare parts and our proactive thinking, we were able to act quickly. Our service engineer, Alex Simons, replaced the pressure vessel, refilled and vented the bearing assembly, set the correct pre-pressure, and tested the system. The result: the pump is running reliably again.
Another case involved a customer with a very old pump shaft (likely from the 1980s) where the hub – the section where the impeller should be mounted – had completely broken off due to metal fatigue. We fully disassembled the bearing assembly, fitted a new pump shaft, and reused the still-good bearings. After the overhaul, the customer reinstalled the bearing assembly on their dredger.
We also carried out a repair on an Achenbach pump, a predecessor of the Rohr-Idreco pump series.
At DE Klop and Rohr Idreco, we always aim for the fastest and best solution – whether it’s a repair, an overhaul, or supplying spare parts. This way, our customers can keep running, even during the holiday season.
