DE Klop participated active at the Baggerfestival in Sliedrecht!
Last week marked the return of the biannual Baggerfestival in Sliedrecht – the event where technology, innovation, and youth come together. DE Klop was proud to actively participate in this unique celebration of the dredging industry!
Thursday kicked off with an inspiring symposium, where we were present with great enthusiasm. At the same time, the Techniekdag (Technology Day) took place in the WOW-keet near the National Dredging Museum. Here, students were introduced to technology and the business world in a fun and engaging way.
At the DE Klop stand, students could test their skills on various simulators, and take part in a creative challenge: design your own cutter suction dredger! For this occasion, we developed a special paper model of our Cygnus – the latest generation zero-emission cutter suction dredger.
On Saturday, we were present at the Plaatje in Sliedrecht, where visitors had the opportunity to admire the Cygnus in all its glory. A striking presence – especially when contrasted with a conventional cutter suction dredger jetting water in the background. A powerful image of where we come from, and where we’re heading.
We look back on a successful festival full of connection, technology, and inspiration for the next generation!
